Important Dates

Submission deadline: Friday, November 14, 2008
Presenter notification:
Abstract notifications will be sent by February 15th. If you have not received notification about the status of your abstract submission by February 15th, please send an email to presenter@tobaccocontrolconference.org.


Abstract Selection

All abstracts will be reviewed by subcommittee. Selection criteria will be based on overall quality, originality, clarity of thought and writing, relevance to areas of interest, practical application, and timeliness.

If selected:

  • Presenters are responsible for all conference expenses, including registration and travel expenses.

  • The Primary Presenter for each submission must register and submit payment by March 9, 2009. If you do not register by this date, your name will not be included in the printed program.

  • Presenters will be expected to present their abstract on the date and time it is assigned using the equipment provided by the conference organizers.

The purpose of the National Conference on Tobacco or Health is to improve and sustain the effectiveness and reach of tobacco control programs and activities in the United States. Whether you are a student, program manager, researcher, or seasoned advocate; or whether you work at the local, state, or national level, the 2009 National Conference welcomes you.
